Shock: Common Childhood Vaccine found to be Contaminated with Lethal Virus

The National Vaccine Information Center (NVIC) issued a Press Release today calling for a general recall of the RotaTeq Vaccine after it had been discovered and confirmed by the manufacturer that the vaccine was contaminated with a deadly pig virus. RotaTeq is a Rotavirus vaccine produced and distributed by GlaxoSmithKline (GSK).
GlaxoSmithKline made a public commitment to reformulate the vaccine, removing the contaminants, but said nothing of pulling the existing contaminated vaccine off of the market until the reformulation was complete.
NVIC in its issued statement makes the following assertion:
Responsible corporations voluntarily recall contaminated foods and drugs that could possibly compromise safety,” said NVIC Co-Founder & President Barbara Loe Fisher. “When RotaTeq is squirted into the mouths of babies, how many doctors or parents know those babies are swallowing DNA from a virus that can injure and kill baby pigs?
